Trainer/ mentor characteristics (natural and/or trainable) that enhance learning
An effective trainer/ mentor is not only a transmitter of knowledge but also a facilitator of relationships and emotions within the learning environment. The ideal characteristics of a trainer/ mentor, whether innate or developed through practice, play a key role in promoting successful, inclusive and engaging learning experiences, particularly in adult education. These characteristics help foster trust, motivation, and openness among learners, contributing to an environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
Desirable characteristics of a trainer/ mentor include:
